Li Lian Jie (born April 26, 1963), better known by his stage name Jet Li, is a Chinese martial artist, actor, film producer, wushu champion, and international film star.

Li joined the Beijing martial arts team when he was a boy. As a member of the team, Li won fifteen gold medals and one silver medal in the Chinese material arts championships.

The fame he gained with his sports success led to a career as a martial arts film star, beginning in China's Mainland and later in Hong Kong.

In April 2007, Li formed his own non-profit foundation called the One Foundation. The One Foundation supports international disaster relief efforts in conjunction with the Red Cross as well as other efforts, including mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
