The Republic of Korea (ROK) hopes the third round of six-party
talks will make achievements on specific issues, Lee Soo-hyuck,
head of the ROK delegation for the third round of six-party talks,
was quoted as saying in Beijing Tuesday.
Lee, also the ROK's deputy minister of Foreign Affairs and
Trade, made the remark during the bilateral consultation with
China's Vice Foreign Minister Wang Yi Tuesday afternoon, according
to an official with the ROK delegation.
The official also revealed that Lee is scheduled to meet with
Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) delegation head Kim
Kye-gwan Wednesday morning.
The third round of six-party talks, involving China, the DPRK,
the United States, the ROK, Russia and Japan, will be held from
Wednesday to Saturday. All delegation heads have arrived in
Beijing.
