Statistics show that Beijing has achieved the target set by its Blue Sky Program ahead of schedule.
The capital's residents had enjoyed a total of 219 days of good air quality by December 20th last year.
Blue skies were seen on over 60 percent of days in 2003.
The city is working hard to clean up the air ahead of the Olympics in 2008. Difficulties such as industrial and car pollution remain to be resolved.
