The Chinese military forces plan to build 280 sewage plants around its barracks in order to meet the country's requirements on environmental protection and promote the development of the armed forces.
According to the general office of the Environmental and Afforestation Committee of the People's Liberation Army, the Chinese government has allocated special funds for these projects.
All these sewage treatment facilities with a total handling capacity of 340,000 cubic meters are planned and designed in accordance with the standards set up by the State Council, and their feasibility studies will be examined by military and civilian experts on environment protection, according to the office.
