Carrefour

Carrefour is the big name in Beijing's supermarkets.

7-Eleven

There are 55 branches dotted throughout Beijing. They sell the barest of essentials, and most branches are offering fresh milk and bread.

Zhongguancun Mall

This new mall offers good-quality products at discounted prices.

The Place

The city's most architecturally-impressive mall, it includes shops like MNG, Miss Sixty, French Connection and M.A.C.

Oriental Plaza

Beijing's best-known and most visited mall, it features six themed zones and stores like Valentino, Bally, Swarovski and Apple.

Golden Resources Shopping Mall

The world's 2nd largest mall, with 230 escalators, more than 1,000 shops and a skating rink.

China World Shopping Mall

Housed in the China World Trade Centre complex, covers 60,000 square and features an indoor ice skating rink.

3.3 (San San) Shopping Mall

Easily located on Sanlitun's bar street, this mall offers 300 stores on five floors aimed mostly at women, featuring funky and home-grown boutiques.

Yashow & New Yashow

These two markets are almost identical, but New Yashow is considerably less crowded and has fewer stalls.

Silk Market (Xiushui)

This indoor market is the city’s most popular with tourists, with six floors of cheap, fake goods.

Pearl Market (Hongqiao Market)

This is the best place to buy pearls and jewelry. The third floor is an Aladdin's cave of freshwater pearls, jade, antiques, handicrafts and ornaments

Panjiayuan

This open-air market is crammed with thousands of stalls selling ornaments, Cultural Revolution memorabilia and more.
