'The Continent' released in Chinese cinema

Chinese film "The Continent" is released in Chinese cinema today.

Directed by famous author Han Han, the film is a comedy-romance-adventure starring William Feng, Chen Bolin and actress Wang Luodan.

It tells the story of three childhood friends from the most eastern island in China who set foot on the continent for a reckless journey to rediscover themselves.

The trip is filled with laughter and tears, as the three friends meet an assortment of characters and learn from their experience on the road.

It's a journey that allows them to see themselves like never before and one that changes the course of their lives forever.

The films trailer was released online in May and has been viewed nearly five million times, creating a new record among Chinese movies – giving it high hopes of success in the Chinese box office.
