West China art exhibition debuts in Sydney

Editor's note: Forty oil paintings, ink paintings, prints, watercolors and 14 works of Thangka are currently on display at the Concourse Center in Sydney, Australia. Entitled "Color of West China -- Thangka and Painting Exhibition," it is one of the key events of a series of activities dubbed "Experience China -- Culture Exploration of West China in Australia and New Zealand," which will run until Sept. 18. The event was organized by China's State Council Information Office together with the Chinese embassies and consulates in both New Zealand and Australia to showcase and promote the culture and landscape of western China to local residents.
