Workers stretch the super Xuan paper at a workshop in Jingxian County, Xuancheng City of east China's Anhui Province, Nov. 21, 2016. The super Xuan paper, which measures 11 meters in length and 3.3 meters in width, is made for traditional large-scale painting and calligraphy creation. Xuan paper, a type of handmade paper, was originally produced during ancient China's Tang Dynasty (618-907) in Jingxian County and its neighboring cities. Xuan paper is white, soft and smooth and hard to be creased and corroded. The procedure of making Xuan paper was listed as a world intangible cultural heritage by the UNESCO in 2009.
