An exhibition organized by the Embassy of Pakistan and China World Peace Foundation was held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Pakistan's Independence and 66th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Pakistan on March 22, 2017 in Zhengyangmen Museum in Beijing.

Pakistan is China's "all-weather" friend, and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is under construction. "It is a very important means to improve the mutual understanding between China and Pakistan. We should have more cultural exchanges in the future," said Sha Zukang, chairman of China Pakistan Friendship Association. He highlighted that more cultural exchanges should be held both in China and Pakistan.

"The media plays an important role in international communication, and we are the bridge between China and Pakistan," said Wang Xiaohui, editor-in-chief of China.org.cn.

According to Pakistan's Ambassador to China Masood Khalid, the exhibition titled "Art, Culture and Heritage of Pakistan" showcases the artworks of one of Pakistan's most accomplished artists -- Mr. Jimmy Engineer who has 3,000 paintings and more than 1,000 calligraphies to his name.
