Rock icon Rod Stewart enflames audience at Morocco music festival

British singer Rod Stewart closed the 16th annual Mawazine music Festival held in the Moroccan capital Rabat late on Saturday.

On the stage of OLM Souissi, Rod Stewart enflamed his audience with a collection of hid famous hits like I Don't Want Talk About It, Sailing, Have You Ever Seen the Rain and All For Love.

With a 50 years long career behind him, and two inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Rod Stewart is considered as one of the greatest names of modern music.

The nine-day festival featured some 1,000 local and foreign artists from over 40 countries, including Ellie Goulding, Charles Aznavour, Demi Lovato, Wiz Khalifa and DJ Snake.

With an average 2.5 million festival-goers, Mawazine Festival is ranked the top cultural event in Africa and the second largest in the world.
