CHENGDU, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Germany's iF International Forum Design will open a design center in China's city of Chengdu to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in design and creativity.

The center, located at the hi-tech industrial development zone of Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province, will open in April 2018, according to the organizing committee of the ongoing Chengdu Creativity and Design Week.

The Hannover-based company is a design-related services provider and the organizer of the world major design award, the iF Design Award.

The center will be composed of areas including a design shop for co-branded products, exhibition halls and designer studios.
