Two young Chinese artists will share with New Yorkers on Sunday their experimental dance performance and showcase the beauty of the cross-border cooperation between contemporary visual art and performing art.

Star Tracks and Collapsar, to be staged Sunday afternoon at the Queens Museum, New York City, is a brand new dance performance by two NYC-based artists, Yahui Lu, founder of HUI Dance House, and Guanglei Hui, artist director of Cross Move Lab.

Featuring "Time and Logic", the performance will be presented with projection and video design in combination with dance movements.

"Every time we try to escape an 'orbit' of life, it comes back to us by throwing us to another loop, another track. Every time we struggle to get rid of the 'orbit', we feel so excited to finally run away from it, only to discern later that all efforts were in vain," Hui told Xinhua about the theme of the dance performance on Friday.

"The destination of all orbits is the ending of a life span. Human body, projection are borrowed as media to visualize the concept of circulation," he said.

The performance is part of the Museum's New New Yorkers program which provides adult immigrants the opportunity to interact closely with accomplished professional artists and engage with their innovative work.
