The third Macao International Film Festival wrapped up Friday night in China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), with South Korean film "Clean Up" winning the best film.
The best director was won by Gustav Moller, director of the Danish film "The Guilty". The best actress was Aenne Schwarz, the actress of German film "All Good". The best actor was won by Jakob Cedergren, actor of the film "The Guilty".
The best screenplay was won by Barnaby Southcombe of "Scarborough". Mexican film "The Good Girls" won Macao's audiences choice award. The blockbuster 2018 was won by American film "Crazy Rich Asian".
Chinese film "Up the Mountain" won the best Asian film award.
The seven-day event includes such sections as Competition Section, Gala, Flying Daggers, Best of Fest, New Chinese Cinema, Special Presentation, and Director's Choice.
Over 50 films from around the world were shown on the big screens. A variety of activities were held during the festival, such as forums, seminars and workshops to serve as an industry platform for film professionals from across the world.
