Beijing Normal University recently established a Future Design Center intended to be a hub for the discovery and cultivation of promising figures in the country's creativity industry.

Headed by Gao Peng, who has years of experiences in art education and management, the center gives priority to building a design college at Beijing Normal University's campus in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, set to open in 2021.

The college's board of instructors include leading figures in art and design, such as Tan Ping, Wang Min and Tim Yip.

The center also launched a "seeds foundation" program which will sponsor 10 to 15 startup projects.
