5. Emperor Kangxi's calligraphy
The Kangxi Emperor (1654–1722) is famed for his calligraphy. However, there are few examples of the character "fu" written by him, which is why his calligraphy in the picture above is considered precious. This character can be divided into five independent parts, namely "zi" (meaning offspring), "cai" (meaning talent, wealth), "duo" (meaning more), "tian" (meaning field) and "shou" (meaning longevity). Chinese people believe that the character brings both fortune and longevity, and also embodies a hope for more children, talents, crops, longevity and blessings.
