"Born to Fly" tells the story of Lei Yu (Wang Yibo), a member of China's highly-skilled but little-known cadre of test pilots, tasked with piloting the country's newest fighter aircraft, pushing the limits of each plane's endurance as well as the limits of their own ability. Under the leadership of Captain Zhang Ting (Hu Jun), Lei and his fellow pilots must learn to navigate unforeseen challenges while discovering both the skill and the courage to carry out their dangerous mission.

The IMAX release of "Born to Fly" will be digitally remastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience with proprietary IMAX DMR (Digital Remastering) technology. The crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX's customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio, will create a unique environment that will immerse audiences in a cinematic world unlike any other. Audiences will be able to enjoy an unprecedented up-close look at some of China's most sophisticated aircraft, experiencing the thrill and wonder of high-speed flight together with the on-screen heroes.
