"Ordinary Hero"
Based on the true story of the rescue of a boy with a broken arm from Hotan, Xinjiang, Tony Chan's "Ordinary Hero" pays tribute to everyday heroes. It demonstrates the best part of human nature and delivers a touching and powerful message. The film depicts how an urgent emergency rescue is made possible over 8 hours spanning 1,400 kilometers after a heartbreaking accident. The rescue is a life-saving miracle, made possible by people from all walks of life, who step forward for the little boy. At the critical moment, strangers in Xinjiang, ordinary traffic police on patrol, airport ground crew and air traffic control staff about to finish their shift, and the captain and chief steward of the last flight taxiing on the runway, don't hesitate to help the family. The star-studded cast includes Li Bingbing, Feng Shaofeng, and Huang Xiaoming, with the child star being Parman Parhat. The film was released in theaters nationwide on Sept. 30.
