Urjwan choir was founded in 2015. Aiming to integrate choral music into the local musical culture as a new type of sung music whereby the Choir presents international choral works to its Syrian audience. Today, Urjwan is considered the largest choir in the Syrian coast region, as it includes more than 200 singers. The Choir’s repertoire includes various types of music from classical to contemporary, oriental Arab music to early Muwashahat, and international folklore. During the past few years, Urjwan three choirs presented a many concerts, and participated in many festivals and artistic celebrations in various theaters.
