It was established in 1958. The choir has about 100 members, including the Boys and Girls choir (1st grade to 4th grade of elementary school) and the Children's choir (5th grade of elementary school to 3rd grade of high school). It focuses on regular concerts and offers more than 20 concerts for the general public yearly. So far, it has undertaken 33 international concert tours. It regularly presents highly artistic a cappella pieces based on Wakayama nursery rhymes, lullabies, and folk songs.
