The concert included items which have been proclaimed intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO, such as the art of Xinjiang Uygur Muqam and Mongolian long song. And it featured folk performances on special days, festivals and other occasions to present ethnic customs and lifestyles, such as the torch festival popular among the Yi people and wedding rituals of the Tajik group.

Performers were from Homeland, a project initiated by China Audio-video and Digital Publishing Association, to preserve and revive traditional music of China.

The concert was broadcast on China Traditional Cultural Museum's accounts on several digital platforms, and will be rebroadcast by CGTN on its website and social media accounts to reach audiences around the world.
