The world's largest floating library Logos Hope, which is currently docked at the Jordanian port of Aqaba, has welcomed over 25,000 visitors since it opened to the public on Jan. 26, a project manager has said.
With more than 5,000 books onboard, the floating library has an impressive selection of books and offers diverse cultural events and activities, such as live performances and educational workshops, Logos Hope project manager in Jordan Jabulani Mlambo told Xinhua on Monday.
"Wherever we go, we hope to share knowledge and help spread hope," he said.
The 132-meter-long ship, which belongs to the GBA Ships, a Germany-based charitable organization, has visited more than 100 ports worldwide to spread "knowledge and hope" over the years. It carries more than 350 volunteers of 70 different nationalities, according to Mlambo.
