Domestic comedy-drama film "Pegasus 2" led China's daily box office chart on its premiere on Saturday, data from the China Movie Data Information Network showed.
The movie tells the story of a driving school coach, a former champion driver, who now instructs a newbie in preparation for a rally. The film generated revenue of 416.23 million yuan (about 58.6 million U.S. dollars) on Saturday.
Domestic comedy "YOLO" came in second, grossing 410.54 million yuan on Saturday.
Animated film "Boonie Bears: Time Twist" claimed third spot, securing 236.55 million yuan.
