Chinese brand JUZUI on Sunday staged its runway show at the New York Fashion Week by drawing inspiration from blossoming peony, a flower rooted in the East.

Maye Musk (C-L), a model who closes the show, and Taoray Wang (C-R), the creative director of JUZUI, greet the audience at the end of a fashion show of JUZUI during the New York Fashion Week 2024 in New York, the United States, on Feb. 11, 2024. Taoray Wang, the creative director of JUZUI, also borrowed color which was popular in China's Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) in developing her designs.

The presentation resonated loudly on the stage of the New York Fashion Week 2024 which runs from Feb. 9 to 14.

It's exciting to combine peony with every design in the collection, said Wang.

Wang added that China has a bounty of beautiful stuff that could move international audiences besides dragon and phoenix.

People should be traveling backwards and forwards between the United States and China way more than they are at the moment, said Maye Musk, a model who closed the show.

"I think Americans traveling to China will be very impressed," said Musk.

"It's always better to be person-to-person. Otherwise, you don't get the right picture, unless you can meet the people and explore with them and become friends," Musk added.

Founded in 2001, JUZUI focuses on women fashion designs by drawing inspiration from Eastern elements, particularly blossoming peony.
