He Yanming (1926-2013) led a life characterized by practicality, commitment, and humility, leaving an indelible mark as a sculptor and educator over a career spanning six decades. His artistic journey mirrors the evolving landscape of art in China from the 1940s onward.

A Life of Determination and Ease encapsulates He's prolific career, showcasing dozens of his sculptures and paintings that bear witness to the artistic transformations he navigated. Through the highs and lows of his journey, He remained versatile and unwaveringly passionate about sculpture, using his art to address societal concerns and reflect on historical narratives.

In a notable shift in his 70s, He delved into the realm of clay exploration, crafting a multitude of pottery pieces that added a new dimension to his artistic repertoire.

Regarded as "a poet in sculpture", his creations resonate with a profound artistic sensibility that transcends mere form, embodying deeper narratives and emotions.

The exhibition, hosted at the Yuda Art Space within Beijing's vibrant 798 art zone, offers a poignant tribute to He's enduring legacy. Running until June 2, the showcase provides a rare glimpse into the artistic evolution of a master craftsman whose work continues to inspire and captivate audiences with its timeless beauty and profound insights.
