In anticipation of China's Cultural and Natural Heritage Day, inheritors of traditional crafts showcased their skills and engaged international students in hands-on workshops at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing on Thursday.

The event, held ahead of the June 8 heritage day, offered students a unique opportunity to experience the richness and diversity of Chinese cultural heritage. From the intriguing aroma of stinky tofu to the intricate art of paper cutting and dough figurine creation, the inheritors shared their knowledge and passion for these age-old traditions. Students were particularly fascinated by the enduring legacy of Chinese time-honored brands, showcasing the innovative spirit woven into the country's cultural fabric.

Guided by the inheritors, students actively participated in workshops. They tried their hand at paper cutting, painted representations of the Rabbit God, molded dough figurines, and experienced the art of template New Year prints.

China established Cultural Heritage Day in 2006, designating the second Saturday of June to celebrate the nation's unique cultural treasures. In 2017, the observance was expanded to encompass natural heritage, becoming the current "Cultural and Natural Heritage Day."
