Currently showcased at the Tsinghua University Art Museum, the Seeing and Being Seen exhibition offers audiences a profound exploration of art that delves into alternative perspectives on the relationships between individuals and history, nature, and tradition.

Curated by Xu Hong, the exhibition guides viewers on a thought-provoking journey aimed at uncovering answers, traversing through three distinct sections that contemplate people's interpretations of history, collective memories, emotions, and desires.

This exhibition marks the museum's second endeavor to share its research and collection of Chinese contemporary art with the public, following the success of its inaugural show, The Realm of Existence, held in October 2021.

Du Pengfei, the executive director of the Tsinghua University Art Museum, emphasizes the institution's proactive approach in fostering closer ties with the contemporary art world and attracting the support of diverse artists. This strategic effort aims to establish a comprehensive collection of contemporary art, enhancing the museum's ability to educate and inspire individuals in their pursuit of beauty.

As the exhibition draws to a close on Wednesday, it leaves a lasting impact, inviting visitors to reflect on the intricate interplay between art, identity, and societal narratives within the dynamic cultural landscape curated by the Tsinghua University Art Museum.
