The show, which aired on Hunan TV International channel and MangoTV — the streaming platform of Hunan Broadcasting System — from May 18 to July 8, concluded with eight episodes. Produced by Mango Excellent Media and EE-Media, the show aimed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to China by showcasing the high-quality development of Macao's economy and society through music sharing and youth exchange.

According to the producers, the term "monsoon" was used as a metaphor, symbolizing Macao as a bridgehead for the convergence of Eastern and Western cultures. The show featured 15 singers, including Jimmy Lin, Sun Nan, Zhou Bichang, and Hua Chenyu, who performed popular songs and joined local young people to explore the buildings and streets of Macao.

The youth representatives featured in the show came from various sectors of society. They included a passionate choir, an energetic street dance group, a tenacious women's dragon boat team, a skilled police band, and a martial arts group. Through their stories and performances, these young participants showcased Macao's youthful energy and innovative spirit, while also highlighting the city's potential as an international metropolis.

"Monsoon Concert" also delved into Macao's history, culture, and local customs, allowing viewers to experience the unique glamour of Macao as a model of cultural integration and innovation, the producers said. They added that the cultural resonance triggered by the show further strengthened the emotional connection between the Chinese mainland and Macao.

The producers stated that the show strives to support the diversified development of Macao's economy and uses music as a bridge to deepen the world's understanding of Macao's rich history and future development. They expressed their anticipation for more cultural events and a brighter future for Macao.
