Dressed in Minion-themed T-shirts, fans of the franchise and annual pass holders of the park participated in a range of activities organized by Universal Beijing Resort and the China Movie Channel Moviegoing Community during a day of immersive experiences in the blockbuster world.

Joe Hoskin, executive vice president and general manager of Universal Beijing Resort, welcomed the visitors and expressed his pleasure at seeing so many Minion fans gathered together. He noted that since its opening, Universal Beijing Resort has been committed to creating a "Blockbuster World Where Movies Come to Life," allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the movie world and interact with their favorite movie characters.

Hoskin also spoke about the increasing numbers of tourists from across the country that are visiting the resort during the summer season. As such, the resort launched a "Universal Cool Summer" series of events this year to provide guests with an assortment of summer activities.

Minion Land in Universal Beijing Resort is the world's largest Minion-themed land, with many details and inspirations taken directly from the "Despicable Me" and "Minions" movie series. To celebrate the release of "Despicable Me 4," a Mega Minions meet-and-greet was held in this popular land. In addition, the Universal Studios Grand Hotel launched a unique themed suite on June 28, designed to closely resemble Gru's house.

Directed by Chris Renaud and co-directed by Patrick Delage, "Despicable Me 4" features a star-studded voice cast including Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell. Packed with non-stop action and filled with Illumination's signature subversive humor, the film has grossed 126 million yuan (around $17.6 million) in China and $437.8 million worldwide as of Sunday.
