The National Aquatics Center in Beijing hosted a ceremony on Aug. 8, marking the conclusion of the 2024 "Cultures of China: Water Cube Cup" Chinese Song Contest. The event included a gala and awards presentation honoring winners in three competition categories.

Over 100 performers from this year's music summer camp and international youth study camp joined Chinese artists in singing popular Chinese songs, captivating the audience.

Now in its 14th year, the "Cultures of China: Water Cube Cup" Chinese Song Contest has drawn more than 50,000 participants since 2011. This year's contest set several records. More than 6,000 contestants from 55 contest regions across 32 countries participated, the highest turnout yet. For the first time, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region collaborated to host the event, reflecting the strengthened regional partnership.

Additionally, the contest added an international youth study camp this year, extending its reach to a broader audience. Organizers also invited foreign participants to the music summer camp for the first time, offering vocal training and Chinese cultural experiences.

The event also selected annual cultural ambassadors from past participants to promote Chinese culture globally.

The National Aquatics Center said it will continue to uphold its commitment to corporate social responsibility and leverage its advantages as a bridge to connect with overseas Chinese communities, aiming to become a cultural beacon for Chinese people worldwide.
