China Film Co., Ltd. unveiled China Film Tech at the 31st Beijing International Radio, TV & Film Exhibition on Aug. 21. The brand consolidates six of the company's divisions, including Cinity, Cinity LED, CFG-Barco, and its integrated business services platform, responding to recent changes in the film industry.

Cinity, China's own advanced cinema projection system, offers 4K resolution, 3D capabilities, high brightness and frame rate, enhanced dynamic range, wide color gamut, and immersive sound. Cinity LED, a newly developed screening system, features an LED screen that surpasses many international standards. CFG-Barco is the global leader in laser projection for cinema, providing projectors and other screening solutions.

Meanwhile, the company's integrated business services platform offers services like equipment maintenance, smart projection, pre-show advertising, equipment supervision, and online transmission, connecting with over 5,300 cinemas nationwide.

China Film Co., Ltd. has been manufacturing, researching and developing movie equipment since 1951. The company has spent decades providing technology, equipment and services to China's film industry. Over the years, it has accumulated significant expertise and oversees the country's largest film technology supply chain.

Fu Ruoqing, chairman of China Film Group and China Film Co., Ltd., said China Film Tech was established as part of broader reforms to state-owned enterprises and efforts to build China into a film powerhouse. The company aims to create new quality productive forces by merging high-quality resources and talent from the technology section of China Film Co., Ltd., with the goal of becoming a leading domestic film technology company and brand.

"Technology is the foundation for developing new quality productive forces," Fu said. "The core work of China Film Tech is to understand new market situations and demands, enhance the technological innovation capability of Chinese cinema, provide strong technical support for advancing China's status as a film powerhouse, and create advanced productive forces that align with new development concepts, closely meet market demands, and effectively serve industry development."

China Film Tech has developed a comprehensive intellectual property system, amassing numerous independent intellectual property rights (IPRs) and technology reserves. It has secured over 230 film technology-related IPRs and more than 60 invention patents, with applications pending for an additional 30 patents.

The company has developed three industry standards based on its strategy for high-tech film production. These achievements provide a strong foundation for the future development of China Film Tech.

At the launch event, the company announced that China Film Tech will streamline operations and management, aiming to optimize its resources and technology to maximize productivity. The company plans to leverage its competitive advantages to create innovative products and technical solutions for the global market.

China Film Tech will seek to drive rapid development in China's film technology sector, providing essential tools and platforms for distributing high-quality Chinese and international film content.
