A 12-day cultural feast, including more than 90 special performances, was launched at Panlong Tiandi on September 6 as part of Shanghai's global consumption season, Shanghai Summer, running from July through October.
Known as Xinsheng Festival, the event celebrates the upcoming traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival that falls on September 17 this year.
The festive event consists of more than 90 special performances, over 15 workshops, one literary forum, a Mid-Autumn market attended by more than 50 brands, as well as 4 days of reunion banquets highlighted by outdoor lanterns along the Panlong Tiandi, an urban retreat destination developed by Shui On Group.
"Shanghai people and tourists are invited here to enjoy music and feast. They will also visit the seasonal market and experience the unique Mid-Autumn Festival culture of Chinese," said Zhang Bin, CEO of Shui On Xintiandi Ltd.
Situated in Shanghai's Qingpu district, Panlong Tiandi is one of the first suburban village renovation projects to open in Shanghai, and it also serves as a new lifestyle and commercial model in the Yangtze River Delta Integration Demonstration Zone.
