Taihu Town, located in Beijing's sub-center Tongzhou District, has transformed from a humble agricultural town into a vibrant cultural destination. The town has undergone a remarkable transformation since the NCPA Taihu Stage Art Center settled here in 2019.

Today, visitors can enjoy diverse performances, including Yu Opera, Pingju Opera, Hebei Bangzi Opera, children's theater, family magic shows, puppet shows, shadow puppetry, concerts, and variety shows there. The NCPA's presence has attracted related industries and institutions, catalyzing the town's cultural development.

Former production workshops have been repurposed into creative spaces like the Shuangyifa Cultural and Creative Park, while a fish farming facility has been converted into Taihu Performing Arts Workshop. The thriving homestay industry, represented by Warm Tang Guesthouse, exemplifies Taihu's successful transition from an agricultural town to a distinctive cultural landmark.
