The Yuewen Music Festival, held from Dec. 28-31, featured renowned Asian artists, including Nakashima Mika, Lala Hsu, PP Krit, Billkin and former BIGBANG members Taeyang and Daesung.
The event culminated on Dec. 31 with a New Year's celebration at Siloso Beach, showcasing more than 1,000 drones and fireworks inspired by popular Yuewen properties. The drones created intricate light patterns across Singapore's night sky as midnight approached.
DJ Wukong, celebrated for his unique blend of Eastern and electronic music, took center stage to premiere a remix of "The King's Avatar" theme song. His performance served as the highlight of the evening, leading into the countdown to 2025.
The festival marks the first venture into live entertainment for Yuewen, China's leading corporation in online literature, digital reading and intellectual property development. Its popular properties, including "Joy of Life," "The King's Avatar," "Guardians of the Dafeng," and "Battle Through the Heavens," were showcased at the concert venue.
In addition to the music festival, Yuewen promotes its properties in Singapore through various initiatives. Earlier in 2024, the Yuewen Global IP Awards drew more than 600 celebrities, writers and entertainment executives to Singapore.
Yuewen has prioritized international expansion by building a global IP industry chain and expanding into online literature, film, animation and games. The company partnered with Sony Pictures Entertainment in 2024 to release the Spring Festival film "YOLO" globally. Its TV series "The Legend of Shen Li" reached audiences in over 180 countries and regions in 16 languages, while "Joy of Life 2" became the most popular drama from the Chinese mainland ever on Disney+ after Disney acquired its exclusive overseas distribution rights.
Beyond film and television, Yuewen has released over 1,500 comic titles internationally, and its animated works have garnered over 270 million annual views on YouTube. By the end of 2023, Yuewen's overseas portal WebNovel had launched about 3,800 translated Chinese literature titles, cultivated approximately 410,000 overseas authors, released 62 overseas original works and attracted about 230 million visits from users across more than 200 countries and regions.

In June 2024, Yuewen signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Singapore Tourism Board to jointly explore the new model of "IPs + Cultural Tourism." The music festival is one such exploration.
Hou Xiaonan, CEO and president of Yuewen, has stated that IPs and cultural tourism are "perfect partners" that complement each other. He said Yuewen will strengthen cultural co-creation and industry collaboration by building a global IP industry chain with overseas partners, including those from Singapore, to promote Chinese IPs globally.
