The China Cultural Center in Paris and Europe TV hosted the Paris Chinese New Year Gala, a part of the 2025 Happy Chinese New Year celebrations, at the Mogador Theater with the support of the Chinese Embassy in France on Jan 20.

Over 1,500 guests from China and France, including Chinese ambassador to France Deng Li and the director of the China Cultural Center in Paris, Liu Hongge.

Deng said that celebrating the Chinese New Year is a significant cultural event in France, showcasing the vibrant exchange and mutual learning between Chinese and French civilizations. The values of peace, harmony, and unity symbolized by the Chinese New Year will be widely recognized worldwide, injecting positive energy into global peace, stability, and prosperity.

Paris Deputy Mayor Lamia El-Aaraje said Paris as a diverse city where people of different nationalities live together. She expressed admiration for Chinese traditional culture and the desire for its preservation. Many activities celebrating the upcoming Chinese New Year will be held in Paris, with the City of Paris actively participating.

Three French university students expressed their happiness for watching a fantastic performance from China in Paris, praising the comprehensive and diverse gala organized by the China Cultural Center in Paris. They particularly enjoyed the traditional music performance. 

The "Happy Chinese New Year" series of events organized by the China Cultural Center in Paris will feature various art exhibitions, music gatherings, Year of the Snake park tours, special performances, thematic lectures, and youth cultural tours in France during the Chinese New Year period.
