The Beijing International Beer Festival is celebrated during mid-summer every year at Xiedao Holiday Resort near Beijing Capital International Airport. It is similar to Munich Oktoberfest in Germany, where participants can taste authentic beer and food from Germany, along with many interesting artistic performances. The festival venue covers 400,000 square meters and can handle 84,000 beer-drinking customers at the same time. Mascots, handicrafts, T-shirts and various kinds of souvenirs are available for visitors to buy.
