The Ditan Temple Fair is one of the busiest and most popular temple fairs in Beijing. It is held every year at Ditan Park, where emperors used to offer sacrifice to appease gods, during Spring Festival. In modern times, the temple fair still features reenactments of the Ming's and Qing's imperial sacrificial rituals. It also stages a wide range of folk performances, children's puppet shows and acrobatic shows. Vendors sell a wide variety of local snacks and other foods as well as useful items. [China.org.cn]
