Xicheng has built three earthquake safety demonstration communities in the Financial, Chunshu and Guangwai streets.

In 2013, it will increase investments in earthquake proofing and disaster reduction and will establish at least one earthquake safety community in each of its 12 other streets as soon as possible.

The Chunshu earthquake safety publicity center in Chunshuyuan Community is full of useful information regarding earthquakes, including how to stay safe during earthquakes, earthquake forecasts plus magnitude and intensity of earthquakes.

The community's emergency shelter features complete facilities, making Chunshuyuan Community the first earthquake safety demonstration area in Xicheng.
