Li Jianing is a firefighter of the Fuyoujie Squadron, Xicheng Branch of Beijing Municipal Fire Brigade. Li, born in 1996, was on duty on the square outside the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Mar. 5, 2014. The second session of the 12th National People's Congress opened that day. It was Li's first experience taking part in China's annual Two Sessions' fire prevention mission.
