An opening ceremony was held at the UK booth of the 2014 China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services at the China National Conventional Center in Beijing on May 28. Jointly sponsored by British Chamber of Commerce in China, China-Britain Business Council and Propeller TV, the UK booth will present comprehensive exhibition featuring innovation and creativity cooperation achievement between China and UK enterprises. Vince Cable, UK Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, attended the opening ceremony. Asian Business Port Chairman, Xu Weiping introduced ABP’s current development to guests. The port aims to encourage Asian companies to set up European headquarters. In May 2013, the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, announced that ABP had signed a one billion pound deal to develop the site with a complex of offices, apartments and shops. [Photo by Mi Xingang/China.org.cn]
