The middle section of Line 14, connecting Jintai Road and Beijing South Railway Station, is due to open at the end of this year.

With a length of 16.2 kilometers, the middle section has 12 stations along its route, among which eight are interchanges. It will be linked to six existing lines (Line 1, Line 4, Line 5, Line 6, Line 7 and Line 10) and three planned lines (Planned Line 17 and Line 19, as well as Line 8 under construction).

At the end of this year, the middle section can only join the eastern section of Line 14, but not the western section. The entire line is expected to open in 2018.
