Zhongguancun Exhibition Center, opened in July 2011, demonstrates the development of the Zhongguancun Science Park, also known as China's Silicon Valley, as well as the six competitive industries of the Z-Park, namely, next-generation Internet, mobile Internet, new-generation mobile communication, satellite application, energy conservation and environmental protection and rail transit. Also on display are innovation outcomes in potential industries, including integrated circuits, nanometer materials, high-end equipment, general aviation, new energy and new energy vehicles. Z-Park is becoming a landmark of global innovation and entrepreneurship. In 2014, the high-tech enterprises in Zhongguancun raked in a total of 3.6 trillion yuan (US$580.6 billion) in revenue, contributing more than 40 percent of Beijing’s GDP growth.
