The Photo Beijing 2015, an international photography week, kicked off on October 24 at the China Millennium Monument in Beijing's Xicheng District.

The nine-day event will highlight a series of exhibitions, lectures, marketing activities, forums and themed activities at the main venue and more than ten sub-venues in the city's five districts. The annual event aims to foster a platform for exchanges and cooperation among famous photographers, curators and professionals from home and abroad.

Some of the must-see exhibitions include an exhibition on collections from Royal Photographic Society between 1839 and 1930; "China Parade--Marking the 70th anniversary of the Victory of the World Anti-Fascist War;" and "Moments of Vivian Maier," a special exhibition on works of renowned U.S. street photographer Vivian Maier.

The event, co-hosted by China's Ministry of Culture and Beijing Municipal People's Government, will run until November 1.
