Cui Jian, born in 1990 in Huludao City of Liaoning Province, fell in love with the parkour activity in urban spaces in 2005. Cui came to Beijing in 2009 to pursue his dream of practicing the activity. He became a member of a parkour club in the mega-city and one year later, he was promoted to be coach. Cui said, "I hope I can open a parkour training school in the future to engage more people in this activity. Parkour is a good physical practice, telling people they should never give up."
