China's Ministry of Commerce on Wednesday welcomed a World Trade Organization (WTO) panel report which ruled the United States violated WTO rules in 13 anti-dumping measures imposed on imports from China.

The WTO panel supported China's main claims in the report unveiled Wednesday, ruling the United States violated WTO rules in terms of targeted dumping and refusal to set separate rates for Chinese exporters, the ministry said in a statement.

The complaint filed by China in December 2013 involves products with annual exports of 8.4 billion U.S. dollars covering electromechanical and light industries and others.

China urges the United States to respect WTO rulings and rectify misuses of trade remedy measures to ensure Chinese companies enjoy a trade environment of fair competition, the statement said.

The country is evaluating the panel report and doing follow-up works based on WTO dispute settlement procedures, the statement said.
