China's leading entertainment company Perfect World launched a Belt and Road talent development program with Russian partners in Beijing on Monday.
According to the cooperation deal, Perfect World Education, a subsidiary of Perfect World Investment & Holding Group, will collaborate with Atlant, a Russian company focused on R&D and operation of art and language courses, in addition to five Russian art institutes, to jointly establish a Sino-Russian Art Institute. The institute will comprise different centers for prep, continuing education courses, Chinese art research and Chinese cultural education.
Called the Russian Art Talent Development Program, the initiative falls under the company's larger plan to cultivate digital creativity and art talent in countries along the Belt and Road, according to the company's press briefing.
Robert Xiao, CEO of Perfect World, said that the Art Talent Development Program, launched in partnership with Atlant and renowned Russian art academies, poses an exploration of international educational integration under the Belt and Road Initiative, as Perfect World in tandem continues to expand its global business layout.
"There are rich resources in talent development that can be harnessed for China and the Belt and Road countries; Perfect World Education will seek more such cooperation opportunities to enrich the 'Belt and Road' Digital Creativity and Art Talent Joint Development Program," Xiao added.
Rashid Alimov, former secretary general of the Shanghai Cooperation Cooperation (SCO), noted that he was glad to see this signing ceremony held just before the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, which is to be held from April 25 to 27 in Beijing.
The Belt and Road Initiative is like a river into which many drops of water converge, Alimov said, and the cooperation of Perfect World and Russian partners is now also part of the river. He shared a belief that the Belt and Road talent development program will help discover and unleash people's talent and creativity, empowering them to make the world a better and more prosperous place.
