Twelve award winners of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) 2019 China were announced and honored yesterday in Beijing by EY, the global business service provider.
The winners come from diverse sectors such as technology, industrial products, clean tech, real estate, media and entertainment and consumer products. Their business success demonstrates that Chinese enterprises have strengthened their strategic thinking in internationalization, business diversification and cross-sector convergence, said Albert Ng, EY China Chairman and Greater China Managing Partner.
"They value the importance of building up core competitiveness and international brands, seek changes and actively align their business and management models to the changing market and business environment," said Albert Ng.
Among the 12 winners, Jack Sewing Machine Co., Ltd. Founder Ruan Jixiang and Canvest Environmental Protection Group Company Limited Executive Director and Chairlady Loretta Lee were selected to represent the Chinese mainland and the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions to vie for the coveted World Entrepreneur of the Year 2019 in Monte Carlo, Monaco in June 2020.
The two winners were recognized for pursuing breakthroughs, driving business growth with innovation-driven strategies and increasingly contributing to social sustainability, said Albert Ng. "In addition, they are dedicated to giving back to society and their communities by actively supporting charitable and philanthropic programs."
The core values of entrepreneurial spirit, "confidence, faith and trust" were etched in the theme of EOY China Awards this year – Gathering strength for unstoppable growth.
The EOY Award, one of the world's most prestigious business accolades for entrepreneurs, was created in the United States in 1986 and entered China in 2006.
