China held a meeting on Sept. 8 to commend role models in the country's fight against COVID-19 at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) received four awards for its contributions in response to the pandemic.
At the meeting, CSCEC was recognized for its work in building Leishenshan and Huoshenshan, the two makeshift hospitals in Wuhan, in just over 10 days, as well as its efforts in refitting 16 temporary medical centers. At the same time, construction workers were given tributes for their hard work and contributions to the country's pandemic prevention and control.
CSCEC Chairman Zhou Naixiang said that the company will further carry forward the anti-pandemic spirit, pursue progress, ensure stability, and implement the new development philosophy. CSCEC will adopt regular COVID-19 prevention and control measures and spare no efforts for promoting the company's high-quality development, Zhou said.
CSCEC President Zheng Xuexuan says the company will seize key business opportunities amid regular pandemic control efforts, pay extra attention to marketing, and deliver contracted projects on time and within budget, so as to meet its annual targets.
CSCEC will also ensure the safety of its employees overseas and adapt itself to new normal amid the pandemic.
