On Sept. 2, the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) of Singapore announced the winners of its annual awards for excellence in construction. China Construction (South Pacific), a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), bagged six awards, once again demonstrating its superior strength in the industry and its powerful brand image overseas.
The BCA Awards aim to recognize projects for outstanding achievements in such areas as technology and management.
China Construction (South Pacific) was the biggest winner at this year’s event. The six projects submitted by the company for consideration covered the categories of residential buildings, civil engineering projects, commercial/mixed development buildings, and institutional buildings.
The company’s projects received a total of six awards – four Excellence Awards and two Merit Awards – which reflects CSCEC’s prominent position in the industry. Among these projects, Geylang Bahru MRT Station was conferred the Excellence Award, which marks the second time that China Construction (South Pacific) has been recognized in the civil engineering projects category, showcasing the company’s strength in this sector.
Over the years, China Construction (South Pacific) has won a total of 51 Construction Excellence Awards, and taken home more awards in the past decade than any other contractor in Singapore. To date, the company has received 184 awards from the government and other organizations in Singapore.
