The awarding ceremony for the 17th Tien-Yow Jeme Civil Engineering Prize was held in Beijing on Sept. 22. China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) received six awards, bringing its total award count to 84.
This year's ceremony honored a total of 31 projects. Of the nine awards given to construction projects, CSCEC captured five, demonstrating its leading position in the industry in terms of scientific and technological innovations.
Regarded as the highest honor in China's civil engineering circle, the Tien-Yow Jeme Civil Engineering Prize recognize the projects for not only their quality, but also their technological innovations and achievements. The awards are given to no more than 30 projects deemed most remarkable every year.
