The story of Mary, an employee of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) Egypt, appeared in That's magazine.
The magazine article recounts the Egyptian woman and her mother Jane's 40 years of relationship with China. Four decades ago, Jane was among the first group of Egyptian college students who came to China to study Chinese. Forty years later, her daughter Mary is working for CSCEC Egypt, a subsidiary of a Chinese enterprise. They travelled thousands of miles, epitomizing the friendly exchanges between China and Egypt.
Established in 2004, That's is a foreign language magazine family that has its highest circulation in China. Its main audiences are the expatriate community and foreigners visiting China, helping them to get to know China and the Chinese culture.
